About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a family law caseload from initial consultation through settlement or trial
- Serve as lead counsel, develop case strategy, and guide clients through the family law litigation process
- Represent clients at hearings, settlement conferences, depositions, mediations, and trials in Orange County and surrounding Southern California courts
- Provide legal advice on divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, property division, domestic violence, and post-judgment matters
- Negotiate settlements and draft pleadings, motions, declarations, discovery, and settlement agreements
- Contribute ideas to improve firm systems, workflows, and client experience
- Work with the firm's owner and legal support staff in a collaborative environment
- Share knowledge, mentor junior team members when appropriate, and foster professionalism and continuous improvement
- Build strong client relationships through responsive communication, sound legal judgment, and compassionate representation
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least five years of California family law litigation experience, including courtroom appearances and trial
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Eagerness to contribute to the law firm's growth and development
- Active member of the State Bar of California, in good standing
- Adherence to the highest ethical standards in the practice of law
