About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as lead service team member for a portfolio of large, complex real estate accounts
- Manage insurance programs for habitational, mixed-use, retail, office, industrial, and property management risks
- Manage policies, endorsements, audits, certificates, binders, claims, and coverage changes
- Partner with Risk Advisors on renewals, carrier marketing, negotiations, and client deliverables
- Analyze policy language, identify exposures, and recommend coverage solutions
- Lead complex renewal processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality
- Prepare and maintain applications, loss data, schedules, proposals, and coverage summaries
- Resolve complex coverage, carrier, and client service issues
- Maintain statements of values, ownership schedules, premium allocations, lease reviews, and related property data
- Communicate and collaborate with clients, carriers, and internal teams
- Identify opportunities to improve service efficiency, consistency, and client experience
- Support client retention through technical expertise, responsiveness, and service excellence
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and knowledge support to service team members
- Maintain expertise in insurance products, carrier appetites, market trends, and emerging real estate risks
- Maintain accurate documentation and activity records in agency systems
- Follow agency processes, confidentiality standards, and quality metrics
- Use MS Office, agency systems, business technologies, and AI tools to support work efficiency
- Collaborate across teams to support clients and agency goals
- Work on projects and other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of commercial lines account management experience required, preferably within an independent agency
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license required
- Experience managing complex real estate accounts and property portfolios
- Strong knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance coverages
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CIC, CISR, CPCU, CRM, ARM, or comparable designation preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, advanced Excel, agency systems, Applied EPIC preferred, carrier platforms, and AI tools
- Advanced technical knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance coverages
- Strong understanding of coverage analysis, policy interpretation, and risk exposures
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without Company sponsorship
- Ability to work remotely from an approved work location or approximately 3 days per week on-site in Glastonbury, CT under a hybrid schedule
- Ability to travel and work non-standard hours when required
- Ability to view computer monitors for extended periods
