About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare accurate and timely indirect tax filings
- Work with the company’s filing agent to ensure state reports are filed accurately and timely
- Own member reimbursements, including processing physical checks
- Perform month-end reconciliations of the outstanding check list
- Manage the company’s escheatment process
- Clear daily cash transactions
- Prepare comprehensive month-end cash account reconciliations
- Manage corporate credit card activity by coding and booking expenses accurately
- Perform month-end corporate card reconciliations
- Serve as an operational owner within day-to-day accounting functions
- Report directly to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1–3 years of hands-on corporate accounting or operational accounting experience
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (US GAAP) and general ledger operations
- Proficiency with cash reconciliations, expense processing, and multi-state/corporate compliance tasks
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet key monthly deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and effective collaboration across internal teams and third-party vendor partners
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
- Experience with or ability to quickly learn modern accounting systems such as Sage Intacct
