About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide quality review and inspection for all daily work in process throughout the plant
  • Work from sketches, drawings, travelers, established procedures, and directions from Supervisors
  • Measure roll diameters and lengths using micrometers
  • Compare mechanical drawings against actual measurements
  • Transport rolls using cranes and forklifts
  • Prepare rolls for shipping
  • Complete quality inspection activities in an industrial manufacturing environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School/Equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License Required
  • Employment contingent upon successful completion of a Drug Screen, Physical Capacity Profile Test and Background Check
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to read micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and other instrumentation as required
  • Excellent vision
  • Ability to be trained and operate overhead remote crane and Hilo
  • Be a safety minded worker who is drug free, dependable and able to maintain an excellent attendance record
  • One year of experience preferred, but not required
  • Prior experience in an industrial/manufacturing/machining environment preferred
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 or other quality management system preferred but not required
