About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate SMT’s baseball tracking system (6th Tool) to collect and refine sports data
- Monitor computer applications while following live game events
- Work from a home-office computer using remote login applications
- Ensure the accuracy of collected data
- Complete ball trajectories and player paths for each pitch
- Process system feedback and adjust in real time
- Collaborate with and relay issues to the baseball operations team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must reside in one of: Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia
- Thorough understanding of baseball, including terminology, rules, and strategy
- Extensive PC gaming knowledge; efficient use of keyboard hotkeys in a fast-paced environment preferred
- Availability to work weekend games and occasional weeknight or weekday games
- General understanding of computer hardware, software, and Windows OS structure preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills through Slack or phone calls
- Ability to work under pressure and complete time-sensitive tasks
