About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and deliver SAP features and components within project architecture, owning them from design through production
At Principal level, own the full SAP solution design
Extract SAP source data and rebuild it as analytics on modern platforms
Work with SAP Business Data Cloud and Datasphere, and serve as the SAP data expert on Databricks or Snowflake builds
Lead India-based developers on the SAP side of larger analytics projects
Provide SAP expertise to Pune data teams across accounts
Support UK-led discovery and develop into client conversations about SAP roadmaps
Coach and develop people across the data platforms team
Take on line management as the India SAP team grows
Learn delivery methods, join projects and answer team SAP questions during the first 30 days
Support a UK-led discovery and design within the first three months
Deliver SAP features to production and lead developers within six months
Help lead larger SAP projects, advise clients and shape the India SAP team within 12 months
Work with Snowflake and Databricks engineers, project developers, and UK and European client teams
Report to the India Head of Technology & Delivery in Pune and work closely with the UK SAP Head of Practice

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong, hands-on SAP BW or BW/4HANA experience, including data modelling
Solid understanding of SAP as a source system, ECC or S/4HANA
Understanding of at least one SAP functional area, such as Finance, Sales, Procurement or Supply Chain
Thorough understanding of SAP Datasphere and SAP Business Data Cloud
Delivery experience, certification or structured self-study in SAP Datasphere and SAP Business Data Cloud
Experience designing and delivering SAP features or components independently
Experience leading, mentoring or guiding a development team
Clear written and spoken English
Confidence discussing SAP plans with clients
Must live in or near Pune
Must have the right to work in India
Beneficial: end-to-end Datasphere or BDC project delivery, ideally as lead consultant
Beneficial: solution design ownership on a larger SAP analytics project, client growth or meaningful pre-sales experience
Beneficial: experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Fabric or Azure
Beneficial: experience migrating from SAP BW or BusinessObjects
Beneficial: experience with Fivetran, SNP Glue, Theobald Xtract, SAP Data Services, SAP Analytics Cloud or Power BI
Beneficial: recent SAP certifications in SAP Business Data Cloud, Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud or SAP HANA Cloud
