About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and build scalable applications, backend services, and APIs supporting Snap’s CRM and advertising business
Build shared AI capabilities, agent frameworks, and reusable services across business applications
Develop AI-powered applications and workflows using LLMs, internal tools, and business data
Build and maintain high-volume integrations across Salesforce, Ads platforms, internal services, and third-party systems
Work across teams to understand business requirements, evaluate technical tradeoffs, and deliver solutions
Own features end to end, from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and production support
Use AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering workflows to ship software while maintaining code quality, security, and reliability
Improve application performance, availability, monitoring, and CI/CD processes
Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and engineering best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of software development experience building and maintaining production applications or services
Experience programming in Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages
Experience with BigQuery, Airflow, SQL/NoSQL databases, or other data platforms
Experience designing and building backend services, APIs, or system integrations
Strong programming and software design skills, including debugging, performance analysis, and test design
Experience developing backend services, REST APIs, integrations, and data-driven applications
Understanding of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and database technologies
Familiarity with AI/LLM concepts, including AI agents, RAG, tool calling, and agent orchestration
Ability to independently design and deliver medium-sized features spanning multiple components
Understanding of operational aspects of production systems, including monitoring, incident investigation, and troubleshooting
Ability to evaluate technical tradeoffs and write maintainable, well-tested code
Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and workflows
