About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the design, build, and ongoing operation of security operations and risk programs
  • Define and operationalize security KRIs, KPIs, and health metrics across key security domains
  • Establish measurement frameworks, dashboards, and reporting taxonomies
  • Prepare and present regular business reviews for security leadership
  • Build operating cadences for security leadership, including program reviews, metric reviews, escalation forums, and quarterly planning
  • Establish organizational frameworks for security team OKRs
  • Partner across Security, Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and Operations
  • Drive root-cause analysis and remediation governance for significant operational issues
  • Create and maintain portfolio views of security initiatives, risks, dependencies, and commitments
  • Define methods for risk intake, issue tracking, exception handling, escalation thresholds, and verified closure
  • Improve security operations through workflow simplification, automation, and decision support
  • Develop executive-ready briefing materials, scorecards, and narratives
  • Monitor program performance and recommend improvements to operating models, metrics, and review mechanisms

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience in security advisory space, technical program management or security solution delivery
  • Depth of security experience and familiarity with a broad range of information security concepts and principles
  • Proven experience of running critical programs within a security field
  • Experience working with engineers and driving large security projects with proven impact
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with ability to tailor messages to the audience
  • Experience influencing teams and cross-functional stakeholders to drive security programs
  • Proficiency in, or strong aptitude for, leveraging AI tools to streamline development
  • Critical judgment to audit AI-generated output for architectural integrity, performance bottlenecks, and security risks
  • Adaptability in learning and applying evolving AI systems and tools
  • Experience with NIST CSF 2.0, NIS2, or ISO 27001 preferred
  • CISSP, CISM, CCSP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or similar certifications a plus
