About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Snap’s Litigation and Safety team on litigation and safety matters
- Manage case preparation, fact investigation, witness contacts, case-related dates and information, trackers/databases, discovery/eDiscovery, and legal documents
- Maintain litigation matter files and support team processes, organization, and knowledge management
- Project manage significant cross-functional initiatives and operational matters
- Research and summarize factual and statistical data
- Gather, organize, and maintain information for litigation and regulatory responses
- Implement processes and organization using company systems
- Build and manage playbooks
- Participate in e-discovery with managing attorneys and the e-discovery team
- Collaborate with the Legal Operations team
- Handle projects independently and in collaboration with managing attorneys
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent)
- 8+ years as a paralegal with significant litigation experience
- In-house experience, especially at a technology company, is highly valued
- Solid proficiency with technology databases, litigation management tools, and electronic discovery software
- As applicable, compliance with professional requirements (e.g., Cal. B&P Code Sec. 6450)
- Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and writing skills
- Excellent legal and business judgment, critical thinking, and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively across all organizational levels
- Ability to accommodate tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and resourcefully
- Ability to prioritize projects and manage expectations for deliverables
