About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and evolve Snappi’s target architecture, including bounded domains, contracts, event flows and decision services
- Build production code and reference implementations using AI coding agents
- Put spec-driven development and agent-assisted delivery into practice
- Curate the instructions, skills and guardrails used by AI agents
- Review designs and code from in-house and partner engineers
- Ensure quality is built into the codebase and enforced by CI/CD
- Partner with Cloud Ops, Data and ML so features ship end to end, from infrastructure as code to models in production
- Work with Product, Credit, Risk and Operations to translate banking needs into well-bounded technical solutions
- Help prioritize what to build first
- Contribute across credit decisioning, operations automation, product development, integrations, and data and AI platforms
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience designing and building complex, distributed, production-grade systems, and owning their architecture end to end
- Strong system design skills: domain modelling, API and event-driven design, data consistency, security, resilience and observability
- Comfort working across decision systems, workflow automation and customer-facing services while keeping the overall architecture coherent
- Deep expertise in at least one modern backend ecosystem, and ability to work across languages and technologies including .NET, Go and Python
- Daily, hands-on use of AI coding agents, with a clear view on making their output reliable through specs, context, tests and review
- Track record of making codebases testable and automating delivery through CI/CD
- Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities, and judgement to sequence work for the most business impact
- Ability to lead through influence across partners, product and engineering, with a strong ownership mindset
