About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide financial, administrative, and clerical support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Monitor daily Fishbowl–QuickBooks synchronization and resolve errors
  • Reconcile monthly GL inventory balances to the Fishbowl inventory sub-ledger
  • Maintain Bill of Materials data and update standard costs for raw materials, packaging, and co-packer conversion costs
  • Perform work order costing and monthly variance analysis by SKU or product line
  • Schedule and coordinate physical inventory and cycle counts; investigate variances and book adjustments
  • Calculate quarterly inventory reserves for slow-moving or obsolete inventory
  • Review and reconcile co-packer invoices against production output
  • Reconcile co-packer inventory for materials shipped, consumed, and on hand
  • Track CapEx for production line equipment, in-service dates, and depreciation schedules
  • Reconcile the fixed asset sub-ledger to the GL
  • Track freight invoice details and enter them into QBE in partnership with Accounts Payable
  • Prepare freight accruals for review by the AM
  • Own inventory, COGS, and fixed asset close tasks and journal entries
  • Reconcile related balance sheet accounts
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures
  • Proven ability to multitask while maintaining focus and complete tasks quickly and accurately
  • Team-oriented relationship-building skills with accounting/finance teams, other teams, and external partners
  • Business curiosity and interest in improving processes and outcomes
  • Proven working experience in accounts payable and resolving issues
  • Proven experience with ERP and G/L systems; QuickBooks Enterprise is a plus
  • High level of comfort and understanding using Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, including building and interpreting spreadsheets
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience
  • Strong experience in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Organized and operationally minded
  • Consistent follow-through and execution
  • Savvy, business-curious problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's/advanced degree in Accounting preferred
