About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the primary customer contact for sales demand creation
  • Execute marketing strategy and promote Sobi products as directed by the Regional Sales Director
  • Provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Sobi products
  • Communicate on-label clinical benefits of products
  • Achieve territory sales by executing Plan of Action marketing strategies
  • Deliver branded sales messages to customers
  • Represent Sobi at local meetings
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets within the assigned geographic territory
  • Represent Sobi products and services to a defined customer base
  • Generate and grow sales and promote appropriate use of products to healthcare professionals
  • Develop and implement a territory business plan
  • Analyze territory sales data weekly to prioritize physician targeting and ensure accurate reporting
  • Prepare territory budget plans for customer contacts, local symposia, and external expenditures
  • Identify and resolve issues and opportunities and communicate with sales and marketing management
  • Report adverse events to Sobi’s Drug Safety department
  • Perform administrative functions including reporting call activity and customer information, and submitting expenses
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory, including overnight travel

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Located within the Raleigh, NC territory
  • BA/BS in business or science
  • Minimum of 5 years' dedicated hospital selling experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry
  • Minimum of 3 years' specialty sales experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry
  • Minimum of 3 years' biologics sales experience utilizing a specialty pharmacy, or 8 years' dedicated hospital selling experience
  • Experience with a transition of care/patient journey process from the hospital to the outpatient setting
  • Demonstrated history of high sales performance
  • Experience with single source pharmacies, reimbursement programs, managed care, and formulary
  • Strong work ethic and ability to develop priorities and manage time appropriately in a large assigned geography
  • Must be based in or located near the given geographic territory; relocation will not be provided
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory, including overnights, up to 40–50% in some cases
  • Strict compliance with all regulatory agencies and state and federal law
