About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot converting equipment
- Ensure efficient and safe machine operation to meet production goals and quality standards
- Perform routine equipment inspections, adjustments, and preventive maintenance tasks
- Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues
- Collaborate with the maintenance team for complex equipment repairs and upgrades
- Monitor production processes and adjust equipment to optimize performance
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and production data
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for operating, maintaining, and changing over equipment
- Assist in training and mentoring junior operators and technicians
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical school certification in machinery operation or related field is a plus
- Proven experience as a Converting Equipment Specialist or similar role in a manufacturing setting
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting converting machinery
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to read equipment manuals and schematics
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures and practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety guidelines
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
