About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities
- Develop execution-ready work plans covering scope, procedures, labor, hours, parts, materials, tools, documentation, and safety requirements
- Review and prioritize work requests based on safety, asset criticality, operational impact, and resource availability
- Maintain short- and long-term maintenance schedules and coordinate planned downtime
- Manage maintenance backlog and identify scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, material shortages, and execution risks
- Track scheduled work through completion and adjust plans based on operational priorities and equipment needs
- Develop, maintain, and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Review telematics, equipment data, maintenance history, downtime, recurring failures, technician feedback, and maintenance trends
- Partner with engineering, operations, and technical teams to establish maintenance strategies, intervals, procedures, and asset criticality
- Maintain asset records, work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, maintenance history, and documentation in CMMS/EAM systems
- Monitor and report PM compliance, schedule adherence, backlog, downtime, recurring failures, work-order completion, MTBF, and MTTR
- Maintain trackers, reports, dashboards, and planning documentation
- Identify parts, materials, tools, equipment, and external services; coordinate availability with inventory, logistics, and vendors
- Support equipment BOMs, critical spare-parts lists, and recommended inventory levels
- Coordinate contractors, OEMs, service providers, and external partners
- Incorporate LOTO, PPE, permits, JHA/JSA, and site-specific safety requirements into work plans
- Review manuals, drawings, schematics, P&IDs, BOMs, OEM documentation, and technical information
- Communicate planned downtime, equipment availability, schedules, backlog priorities, and risks to stakeholders
- Review completed work orders and technician feedback to improve job plans, labor estimates, procedures, and material requirements
- Identify opportunities to reduce repeat failures, maintenance delays, unnecessary downtime, and inefficient processes
- Support scalable maintenance procedures, standards, workflows, and best practices as operations grow
- Travel approximately 2-3 times per quarter to operational locations, customer sites, construction sites, warehouses, or other facilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5-7 years of experience in maintenance planning, maintenance coordination, reliability, asset management, field service, facilities, industrial maintenance, or a related technical environment
- Experience planning preventive and corrective maintenance for mechanical, electrical, industrial, automated, facilities, construction, or other technical equipment
- Hands-on experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), or similar work-order management platform
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning fundamentals, including work-order planning, PM scheduling, backlog management, labor planning, and parts/material coordination
- Ability to interpret equipment manuals, technical documentation, drawings, schematics, or similar technical information
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and stakeholders
- Strong Excel and data-management skills with the ability to track, analyze, and report maintenance information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment where priorities, processes, and operational requirements may evolve
- Experience supporting robotics, automation, industrial equipment, advanced manufacturing, construction equipment, logistics/warehouse automation, data centers, or other asset-intensive environments preferred
- Experience with CMMS/EAM platforms such as IBM Maximo, SAP PM, Fiix, eMaint, or similar systems preferred
- Experience with construction project management, ERP, reporting, data analytics, or business intelligence platforms preferred
- Experience with equipment commissioning, asset onboarding, or developing maintenance programs for newly deployed equipment preferred
- Experience with spare-parts planning, BOM development, MRO inventory, procurement, and vendor management preferred
- Familiarity with maintenance KPIs, root-cause analysis, continuous improvement, and reliability metrics preferred
- Technical degree, trade certification, maintenance/reliability certification, or equivalent technical training preferred but not required
- Must be comfortable entering active industrial, construction, equipment, or technical environments and following applicable site safety requirements
- Occasional coordination outside normal business hours may be required
