About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Meet with customers monthly or per contract to identify and address needs, problems, and concerns
Document business reviews and ensure follow-up
Pursue customer cost-reduction opportunities
Develop customer relationships and maintain a high level of service
Respond to escalated customer purchase and service questions
Interpret and comply with contract requirements and ensure operations meet customer expectations
Supervise and coach Site Managers and site employees
Define job responsibilities and expectations for site employees
Build relationships and assist with negotiating with non-NAPA vendors on pricing, inventory, service, and return privileges
Ensure Site Managers understand the fiscal responsibility associated with their operations
Ensure delivery of service-level agreements
Communicate operational goals, including fill rates, inventory management, and training opportunities
Complete available IBS operations training and ensure direct and indirect reports complete it

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in an automotive parts department, dealership, or retail establishment
Warehouse and inventory management experience
Ability to manage data analysis, heavy reconciliation, and reporting
College degree, technical school, or equivalent work experience required
ASE certification required
Ability to manage people, prioritize, and delegate to team members
Ability to read and interpret an operating statement and P&L
Understanding of district-level inventory management, including purchasing
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated leadership in the automotive aftermarket industry, preferably in an automotive parts department, dealership, jobber, heavy-duty, and/or fleet establishment
Ability to ensure proper maintenance and protection of company equipment, inventory, and physical assets
Ability to operate a point-of-sale system and cataloging
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and using the internet for parts research and sourcing
Ability to learn and use customer fleet management software
Flexibility with working hours depending on customer and location needs, including emergency overtime related to weather conditions
