About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the growth of the respective channel across NAPA NZ
- Build key customer and vendor relationships
- Lead specialist sales representatives
- Partner with branch, regional, marketing and merchandise teams to grow sales, margin and market share
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing specialist sales team
- Build strong relationships with key accounts
- Deliver channel sales, margin and expense targets
- Identify product, pricing and market-share opportunities
- Partner with marketing, merchandise and vendors to deliver a strong customer offer
- Drive customer engagement through regular branch and key-customer visits
- Champion a safe, inclusive and high-performing team culture
- Support the NAPA promotional programme and collaborate with marketing on the Auto Mechanical channel
- Leverage NAPA’s customer acquisition and retention resources
Requirements
What you’ll need- Sales leadership experience within automotive, trade, specialist or commercial sectors
- Strong automotive technical knowledge
- Relevant trade qualifications or specialist industry training are highly regarded
- Proven key-account management and commercial capability
- Ability to coach, influence and develop people
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach
- Commitment to creating Genuine NAPA Service moments
- Ability to undertake national travel
