About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions
- Work with infrastructure, digital, and application teams on cloud-related projects
- Mentor other Cloud Engineers and provide technical leadership and design
- Deploy and debug cloud stacks
- Educate teams on new cloud initiatives
- Ensure the security of cloud infrastructure and applications
- Identify optimal cloud-based solutions and guide data management and cloud data access
- Support management and maintenance of cloud infrastructure services for clients
- Serve as the interface between clients and systems
- Develop technologies to accelerate migration from legacy monolithic applications
- Assist application and product teams with implementing cloud services and resources
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
- Analyze production operations using monitoring, capacity analysis, and outage root cause analysis to improve system stability and performance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires a bachelor's degree and five (5) to eight (8) years of related experience or an equivalent combination
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, VMWare Cloud Administration, and Azure
- Ability to independently code and perform technical tasks with no supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve complex issues
- Ability to communicate effectively with project managers, business analysts, and testers
- Comprehensive experience with cloud architecture methodologies including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
- Hands-on experience with GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, and similar GCP toolsets
- Comprehensive experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
- Experience with VMware virtualization technology
- Scripting experience with Linux shell and PowerShell
- No licenses or certifications required
