About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer and support Microsoft Azure resources, including Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Backup Services, Virtual Networks, and Resource Groups
- Deploy and maintain Azure services supporting business applications and infrastructure
- Monitor Azure environments for performance, availability, security, and cost optimization
- Support cloud migration efforts involving servers, applications, and data
- Configure and maintain Azure networking components, including VPN connections, NSGs, Load Balancers, and DNS services
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Intune, and Entra ID
- Support user provisioning, licensing, mailbox administration, and collaboration services
- Implement Microsoft 365 security and compliance features
- Troubleshoot messaging, authentication, and collaboration platform issues
- Manage Entra ID user accounts, groups, role assignments, authentication services, Conditional Access, and MFA
- Maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related identity services
- Assist with SSO integrations and identity troubleshooting
- Administer Windows Server operating systems and related infrastructure services
- Support VMware virtual infrastructure and virtual machine lifecycle management
- Perform server provisioning, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning
- Maintain system health, availability, and performance through proactive monitoring and maintenance
- Participate in disaster recovery testing and business continuity activities
- Develop and maintain PowerShell automation scripts
- Automate administrative tasks, reporting, and operational processes
- Support Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives using Azure-native deployment tools and templates
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for complex infrastructure and cloud issues
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Work with vendors, application teams, and infrastructure groups to resolve technical problems
- Participate in on-call support rotation as required
- Create and maintain system documentation, procedures, diagrams, and technical standards
- Participate in infrastructure projects, cloud initiatives, upgrades, and technology refresh efforts
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, analysts, and cybersecurity teams
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Typically requires five (5) or more years of progressive experience supporting Microsoft infrastructure environments
- Experience administering Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure administration and cloud services
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 technologies and enterprise collaboration platforms
- Proficiency with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Experience with virtualization technologies including VMware
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, identity management, and access controls
- Familiarity with cloud networking concepts, backup solutions, and disaster recovery practices
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication, documentation, and customer support skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively independently and within a team environment
- Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Microsoft 365 Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, VMware VCP, ITIL Foundation
