About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare for a role as an Account Representative or Customer Service Representative
- Complete a training period of no more than 12 months
- Shadow account representatives and customer service representatives to gain experience in sales, company product lines, and customer base
- Work in the branch warehouse to become familiar with shipping and receiving, inventory, and delivery functions
- Participate in online and satellite classes conducted by the Training Department, including product, sales, and leadership training
- Participate in and succeed in company-sponsored training classes
- Develop competent presentation skills
- Train in all levels of a branch, including inside sales, outside sales, inventory, delivery, warehouse, and administrative functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires a bachelor's degree, preferably in Industrial Distribution or related field
- Achievement oriented and self-motivated
- Strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities
- Strong analytical skills
- Able to follow through on tasks
- Moderate computer skills, including communicating internally and externally via email
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to travel occasionally
- No licenses or certifications required
