About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set the vision, operating strategy, and execution priorities for the total store operations organization
  • Lead, coach, and hold accountable six Regional Vice Presidents
  • Drive consistent operational excellence across the store network through standards, routines, performance expectations, and scalable processes
  • Own sales execution, profitability, service levels, productivity, labor effectiveness, compliance, inventory execution, and customer experience outcomes
  • Oversee store support functions, including operational programs, process improvement, training, communication, analytics, and field support
  • Translate enterprise strategy into field priorities and provide regional leaders with direction, resources, and accountability
  • Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams across merchandising, supply chain, sales, finance, people, technology, asset protection, and marketing
  • Lead operating cadences, business reviews, and performance management routines
  • Champion a customer-first and teammate-focused culture
  • Develop senior field leaders, strengthen succession plans, and prepare leadership talent for future growth
  • Drive continuous improvement by simplifying processes, reducing operational friction, improving adoption, and scaling best practices
  • Use data, insights, and field feedback to inform decisions and prioritize investments
  • Lead change across a large, distributed organization and ensure sustainable adoption
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and programs support compliance, safety, risk management, asset protection, and brand standards
  • Represent store operations in enterprise planning, investment decisions, transformation initiatives, and executive discussions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Retail Management, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field required
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in retail, store operations, field operations, distribution, automotive aftermarket, or a similarly complex multi-unit operating environment
  • Significant executive leadership experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams through regional or field leadership structures
  • Proven ability to deliver business results through operational excellence, disciplined execution, performance management, and cross-functional alignment
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with demonstrated experience managing revenue, expense, productivity, labor, margin, and profitability performance
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and align senior executives, regional leaders, functional partners, and field teams around strategic priorities
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, decision-making, change management, and talent development skills
  • Experience leading store operations in a large, multi-region retail or wholesale distribution environment preferred
  • Automotive aftermarket, parts distribution, or B2B/B2C retail experience preferred
  • Experience leading transformation, operating model redesign, store productivity initiatives, or large-scale field execution programs
  • High degree of executive presence, enterprise thinking, and ability to balance strategy, execution, people leadership, and operational rigor
  • Comfortable working in an office, field, and store environment with regular travel required
