About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary point of contact for retail-store customers
- Provide accurate automotive parts solutions to retail and wholesale customers
- Deliver a positive and engaging customer experience
- Use product knowledge to assist customers and support team members
- Operate POS, inventory/catalog tools, communication devices, and delivery management systems
- Coordinate and dispatch deliveries; pull and prepare orders for customers and drivers
- Support store transactions, inquiries, workflow, logistics, and fulfillment operations
- Build customer relationships to drive loyalty and repeat business
- Perform housekeeping, cleaning, and organizational tasks
- Receive merchandise, stock shelves, conduct cycle counts, and maintain inventory records
- Contribute to merchandising, store operations, team support, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Report to the Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager and work with Counter Sales, Inventory/Operations staff, and Wholesale customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused mindset with strong listening and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to learn automotive parts and technology systems
- Experience in automotive, retail, or parts environment preferred
- Hands-on experience with vehicle repair or maintenance preferred
- Knowledge of inventory or cataloging systems preferred
- Background in automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, farm, marine, or dealership environments preferred
- ASE Certification not required
- Ability to lift and move automotive parts and materials (moderate weight)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move frequently within the store
