About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Record asset additions and disposals in the asset management subledger
- Close the asset management subledger monthly
- Prepare account reconciliations and reporting for depreciable asset accounts
- Support account details
- Assist department and field personnel with issues and questions
- Help maintain general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
- Evaluate trends and investigate unusual or unexpected account variances
- Communicate variance results and recommend issue resolutions
- Make accounting corrections
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 0–2 years of related experience
- Strong knowledge of general ledger and GAAP accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to learn various software packages and process workflows
- PeopleSoft and Blackline experience preferred
- Strong attention to organization, detail, and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent time management skills
- CPA eligibility preferred
