About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare journal entries for general ledger accounts
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly
- Evaluate trends and investigate unusual or unexpected account variances
- Communicate variance analysis results to departments
- Recommend issue resolutions and make corrections
- Support account details and assist department and field personnel with issues and questions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Zero (0) to two (2) years of related experience
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to learn various software packages and process workflows
- Solid knowledge of general ledger and GAAP accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
- Strong attention to organization, detail, and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent time management skills
- PeopleSoft and Blackline experience preferred
- CPA eligible preferred
