About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, implement, and evolve services and components with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability
Participate in architectural decisions by evaluating trade-offs and documenting choices in ADRs and technical assessments
Ensure quality through automated testing, code reviews, and consistent engineering practices
Work on observability and reliability, using metrics, logs, tracing, and incident analysis and resolution
Collaborate with Product, QA, and other squads to define technical scope and break down deliverables
Provide technical support to less experienced engineers, disseminating best practices and internal framework standards
Work on the AI Squad, contributing to the design, evolution, and support of critical platform components

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid experience in software development for products
Strong proficiency in Java and Python and their libraries and tools ecosystems
Strong knowledge of relational databases, including modeling, query tuning, and indexing
Experience with multiple DBMSs is a plus
Experience with REST APIs, system integrations, and messaging
Experience with CI/CD, Git version control, and an automation culture
Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly, both in writing and verbally
Experience with generative AI-based applications and LLM integrations is a plus
Knowledge of RAG architectures, including chunking, indexing strategies, reranking, and response quality evaluation, is a plus
Experience with vector databases and semantic search, including pgvector, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch k-NN, Qdrant, Milvus, Weaviate, or similar technologies, as well as embedding models, is a plus
Experience with agents, tool orchestration, and integration protocols such as MCP and function calling is a plus
Familiarity with evaluation and guardrails for AI systems is a plus
Experience with containers and orchestration, such as Docker and Kubernetes, and observability platforms is a plus
Knowledge of application security, including OWASP, SAST/DAST, and vulnerability management, is a plus
