About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Python
Build scalable solutions for processing, integrating and transforming large datasets
Contribute to cloud-native architecture, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
Collaborate with engineers on system design, data modelling and platform improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of commercial experience with Python development
Strong experience building backend applications and REST APIs
Solid knowledge of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
Experience building data-intensive applications or managing large-scale data processing
Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, testing and clean code principles
Experience with Databricks or modern data platforms
Familiarity with event-driven architectures and distributed systems
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform)
Comfortable with Linux-based development environments
