About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop the technical backbone for sustainable energy solutions
- Take ownership from architecture through release
- Develop AI-powered features for meter-to-cash processes
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance microservices
- Integrate, process, and store large volumes of meter data
- Scale billing logic
- Evaluate and introduce modern backend technologies, tools, and deployment pipelines
- Work across the entire product lifecycle based on the principle: “We build it – we run it”
- Seamlessly integrate software into existing systems
- Serve as the technical interface between Product Management and stakeholders
- Translate requirements into clean, high-performance code
- Mentor and support the development of the engineering team
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of professional software development experience
- Strong command of the Node.js and TypeScript ecosystems
- In-depth knowledge of relational database systems, particularly PostgreSQL
- Experience building and testing APIs
- Experience with deployment and cloud infrastructure, such as Google Cloud
- Proficiency with Git, npm, and Docker
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Excellent German and English skills
- Targeted use of AI tools for analysis, implementation, testing, and code reviews, along with critical evaluation of the results
- Willingness to take technical ownership of solutions
- Experience with system integrations, ideally ERP systems such as DATEV or SAP (nice to have)
- Basic understanding of the energy or real estate industry (nice to have)
- Completed degree in a scientific or technical STEM field (nice to have)
