About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the architecture and evolution of the AI platform, serving as a technical reference for GenAI, LLMs, and agents
- Design LLM Gateway, RAG, semantic search, and multi-model and multi-provider integration solutions
- Define standards for agents and multi-agent systems, with a focus on scalability, security, observability, and governance
- Establish evaluation, monitoring, and oversight mechanisms for LLMs and agents in production
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Security, Cloud, and technology partners
- Contribute to the platform’s technical roadmap, balancing innovation, cost, scalability, security, and speed of delivery
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience leading software engineering teams
- Strong experience in Software Engineering, Systems Architecture, or AI Engineering
- Experience with Agile and Lean methodologies and workflow management
- Knowledge of engineering metrics, such as DORA and Flow Metrics, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Ability to develop people, provide feedback, and support development plans
- Experience with digital products and architectures in high-scale or high-growth environments
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally across Engineering, Product, Business, and other stakeholders
- Ability to balance strategic vision, execution, and highly complex technical decisions
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, GenAI, and agent-based applications
- Knowledge of RAG, semantic search, embeddings, and vector databases or indexes
- Experience integrating different LLMs and model providers
- Knowledge of APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud architecture
- Knowledge of observability, security, and governance as applied to software and AI platforms
- Knowledge of MLOps, LLMOps, or AI Platform Engineering practices
- Preferred: Experience with AWS Bedrock, OpenSearch, pgvector, or equivalent technologies
- Preferred: Experience with agent frameworks and multi-agent systems in production
- Preferred: Experience with LLM Evaluation, AI Safety, guardrails, and AI Governance
- Preferred: Knowledge of the WhatsApp/Meta Business Messaging API or other messaging platforms
- Preferred: Previous experience building internal AI platforms used by multiple teams
- Preferred: Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or large-scale digital products
