Key responsibilities & impact

Support development of new features from initial design through implementation under senior developer guidance
Write, test, and debug code to ensure high-quality software
Participate in code reviews and help maintain coding standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, to translate requirements into technical solutions
Assist in documenting new features and enhancements
Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and trends
Seek feedback and opportunities for improvement
Gain hands-on full-stack development experience across front-end and back-end components of Solink’s Core Applications and Data team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and seeking a co-op or internship opportunity
Proficiency in TypeScript or similar languages; TypeScript preferred
Familiarity with at least one front-end framework, such as React
Basic understanding of back-end languages and frameworks, such as Node.js
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Sense of ownership and commitment to supporting projects
Familiarity with Git and version control best practices
Excellent command of English, written and verbal
Analytical and problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting complex issues and providing effective solutions
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Exposure to cloud services such as AWS or Google Cloud is nice to have
Experience with REST APIs is nice to have
Experience in high-velocity startup or AI-first environments is nice to have
Must undergo a criminal records check upon hire
Must be a Canadian Citizen, including dual citizens, or eligible to work in Canada
Must comply with Solink’s security policies and standards
