About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build, and maintain scalable AI architectures and pipelines supporting business requirements
- Operationalise Large Language Models such as GPT, Llama, and Mistral in production environments
- Implement NLP workflows including BERT and topic modelling
- Design and orchestrate autonomous agentic workflows that reason, plan, and execute tasks across multiple tools
- Collaborate with Data Engineers on model deployments, data storage, vector databases, and cloud infrastructure
- Champion and mentor teams and clients on AI-assisted coding and agentic coding workflows
- Provide technical consulting on AI product development and explain the distinction between standard machine learning and agentic AI
- Stay current with modern AI stack developments, synthetic data generation, and Explainable AI
- Work in a multidisciplinary practice with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Software Engineers
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and translate them into effective technology outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong proficiency in Python
- Robust software engineering principles
- Experience operating as part of engineering teams
- Proven experience working with LLMs
- Experience designing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
- Knowledge of semantic search and vector retrieval
- Experience using AI-assisted and agentic coding tools
- Ability to articulate and teach AI-assisted and agentic coding methods
- Ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience designing and orchestrating autonomous agentic workflows, such as LangGraph
- Experience managing agent state and memory
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL and DuckDB
- Experience building data ingestion pipelines
- Experience with ETL and orchestration tools such as Airflow, Luigi, Argo, and dbt
- Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, and Parquet
- Experience with web frameworks for model serving such as Flask or FastAPI
- Familiarity or experience with classical NLP techniques, statistical analysis, and knowledge graphs
- Familiarity or experience with Deep Learning using TensorFlow or PyTorch
