About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct blueprinting and value stream mapping with Product Owners and Technical Architects
Align business processes with target technology architectures
Structure analysis of businesses, products, or capabilities using SWOT, MOST, or similar frameworks
Map end-to-end journeys and business objects from business outcomes through value streams, journeys, systems, and data
Develop unified views across business, process, application, and data architecture
Analyse existing systems, integrations, and complex data flows to identify gaps, risks, overlapping capabilities, and manual data transfers
Document current business and customer processes and design future states with stakeholders
Use data to quantify differences, size problems, validate assumptions, and confirm outcomes
Gather, analyse, decompose, and document functional, non-functional, and system requirements
Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability, baselines, change requests, and impact assessments
Write and maintain editable decision tables and rules engines
Define precise acceptance criteria for AI-powered features with non-deterministic outputs
Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and process definitions for developers
Work across the full delivery lifecycle with UX/UI designers, developers, DevOps teams, and architects
Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stand-ups
Assist with operational readiness and business change activities
Coordinate testing, review test scripts, support defect triage, and drive UAT resolution
Facilitate stakeholder conversations and workshops
Build stakeholder buy-in and negotiate scope
Keep stakeholders informed and act as the first point of contact for requirements-related issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience delivering within complex technical projects, digital platforms, or multi-tenant SaaS environments
Ability to structure analysis using SWOT, MOST, or similar frameworks
Strong knowledge of requirements elicitation, traceability, and change control tooling, such as Jira or DOORS-type tools
Understanding of process and system modelling, such as BPMN, UML, TOGAF, or ArchiMate
Ability to use journey architecture and modelling concepts to build a complete picture of an organisation
Confident working with data products and APIs
Understanding of SQL or analytics tooling for sizing, validation, and system mapping
Experience working in Agile teams, supporting ceremonies, and writing technical user stories
Excellent facilitation skills and confidence running workshops with senior stakeholders
Ability to challenge proposed solutions and negotiate scope
Desirable: exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Microsoft Azure/Fabric, Salesforce, or highly regulated environments such as MOD, UK Aerospace, or strict government sectors
Strong analytical mindset

Experience working with a variety of stakeholders
