About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish and advance the enterprise application strategy, vision, and roadmap for HR, Legal, HSE, and related corporate systems
  • Partner with HR, Legal, Compliance, HSE, and other corporate leaders to translate business needs into technology capabilities
  • Build and lead an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance team
  • Lead lifecycle management of Oracle HCM and other corporate application platforms
  • Oversee application enhancements, upgrades, integrations, modernization initiatives, governance, prioritization, funding, delivery, and roadmap reviews
  • Serve as senior technology owner and escalation point; rationalize application portfolios to reduce complexity and technical debt
  • Ensure application availability, performance, security, user experience, and supportability
  • Establish SLAs, KPIs, and operational metrics; manage incidents, problems, technical debt, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Partner with IT Operations, Cybersecurity, and Data teams to ensure secure and resilient platforms
  • Manage system integrators, SaaS providers, and managed service partners, including contracts, renewals, accountability, cost control, and vendor rationalization
  • Integrate corporate applications with ERP, data platforms, and downstream systems; promote standardization and architectural discipline
  • Own application budgets, forecasts, cost optimization, compliance, and technology, operational, and vendor risk mitigation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of progressive IT leadership experience
  • Proven success implementing, managing, and supporting large-scale SaaS platforms and enterprise applications, including HR, Legal, HSE, or other corporate applications, with direct ownership of systems and integrations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives through influence and partnering across domains
  • Experience managing external vendors, consultants, and managed service providers
  • Experience in advanced materials, chemicals, industrial process manufacturing, or engineered products is valued
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) is valued
  • Experience with M&A activities is valued
