About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the point of contact for analyzing requests and designing and implementing the required technology solutions
Manage incidents, change requests, upgrades, installations, and security patches
Administer, operate, monitor, and optimize the performance of Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and MariaDB databases
Ensure database backup and recovery
Participate in implementing, administering, and maintaining high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions
Work with Oracle Fusion Middleware (OFM Forms/Reports Server), Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), RMAN, Ansible, Git, and Terraform
Automate, deploy, and maintain infrastructure and databases across various AWS services
Support Oracle databases hosted on Linux and deployed in high-availability configurations using Oracle RAC and/or Oracle Data Guard

Requirements

What you’ll need

Undergraduate university degree (bachelor’s degree) in computer science, business administration with a concentration in organizational information systems, or a related discipline
Eight years of IT experience within the past 12 years, including six years of experience in technology infrastructure as a database administrator
Completed three assignments of more than 220 person-days each as a database administrator within the past six years, in an environment comparable in scale and complexity
Three years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases, including Oracle RAC and/or Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, OEM, and Ansible
Two years of experience administering and configuring Oracle Fusion Middleware (OFM Forms/Reports Server)
One year of experience administering databases in an AWS environment using an Infrastructure as Code approach (Git, Terraform, and AWS services)
Experience with MariaDB is an asset
