About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Determine the technical scope of new business opportunities
Support sales efforts using extensive product knowledge
Address customer technical questions and demonstrate product capabilities
Analyze customer business needs, strategies, objectives, functions, and processes
Recommend appropriate SMS and payment technology solutions
Gather prospect requirements and conduct needs analysis
Create Solution Scope Documentation and Statements of Work
Provide continuity from Sales to Services and improve time to revenue
Serve as technical lead for prospects during pre-sales engagements
Provide live and recorded product demonstrations
Craft solutions to complex customer problems
Prepare sales materials, proposals, product recommendations, and RFx responses
Develop subject matter expertise in SMS/Text, payment services and gateways, mobile wallets, alternative payment methods, CaaS providers, and competitors
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Account Managers, Product, Implementations, Product Development, and third-party software partners
Provide market insights and product feedback to Product Management
Advise sales leads and the Sales team
Adhere to corporate policies and ensure information security

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years of experience integrating with web APIs
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Basic knowledge of APIs, especially REST APIs and JSON protocols
General understanding and use of Postman Collections
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and understand complex systems, including APIs, databases, SDKs, and Basecamp
Excellent communication skills and comfort leading meetings with C-level contacts
Ability to identify and communicate pragmatic solutions to complex integration problems
Payments and SMS/Text experience preferred
Full professional proficiency, written and verbal, in English
Full-time availability of at least 40 hours per week
Ability to travel 20%
Knowledge of cloud and hybrid services, including LMS, LOS, CRM, and ERP
Strong technical writing, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, and active listening skills
Good proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint
Ability to multitask, prioritize, manage time, work independently, and meet demanding deadlines
