About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support overall HV construction and operation for successful project execution
- Coordinate Project Engineer responsibilities to achieve project success
- Review Power Purchase Agreements, Generator Interconnection Agreements, utility interconnection requirements, contracts, studies, and customer/owner engineer requirements for project compliance
- Review LNTP/Early Stage Deliverables
- Assist with HV project budgets and forecasts
- Develop subcontractor scopes of work and support subcontracting efforts with the Project Manager
- Manage HV subcontractors, including billings, RFIs, status reports, and risk
- Manage HV scope changes and collect RFIs
- Participate in project kick-off, utility coordination, owner coordination, SE team, material procurement, and other project meetings
- Hold construction schedule and scope review meetings
- Schedule on-site kick-off meetings
- Assemble final completion punch lists
- Work with Engineering on material procurement
- Maintain a safe work environment and direct safe work practices in energized substations
- Travel regularly, locally and interstate
- Complete other assigned responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 3-4 years of work related experience in design and/or construction of power substations
- PMP certification, or direct relevant industry experience preferred
- Knowledge related to the construction and operation of electrical equipment and installation
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work, analyze, troubleshoot and prioritize problems independently
- Effective written and verbal English communication skills
- Proficiency and knowledge in office practices, procedures and equipment
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and coordinate
- P6 scheduling experience preferred
- Ability to perform frequent stooping, bending, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting 20 or more lbs
- Ability to work around energized substations, moving mechanical parts, and high exposed places
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future
