About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gather field data, photos, as-built information, and installation details for warranty claim evaluations
  • Document and organize potential design, manufacturing, or installation concerns for engineering review
  • Support deployment of GPS-enabled pile driving, drone-based surveys, machine-control datasets, and other construction technologies
  • Prepare and maintain engineering datasets and assist with drone flights, data collection, and uploads
  • Coordinate engineering information flow, drawing updates, clarifications, consultant responses, and RFIs
  • Maintain engineering document control systems, drawing sets, data room folders, submittals, and version tracking
  • Participate in constructability reviews and owner/IE comment cycles
  • Monitor engineering deliverable timelines and support mitigation efforts
  • Coordinate pre-construction pile load testing, including drill-rig scheduling, field logistics, and test setup
  • Document, track, organize, and communicate pile test procedures and results
  • Conduct drawing comparisons, quantity checks, plan-set reviews, site visits, and field observations
  • Identify and escalate engineering risks and contribute to SOP, workflow, database, and lessons-learned development
  • Build working relationships with project managers, superintendents, field engineers, consultants, and internal engineering teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Studies, or a closely related technical field (preferred)
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience
  • Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification preferred or willingness to pursue certification
  • Strong ability to read and interpret civil, structural, electrical, and geotechnical engineering drawings
  • Foundational understanding of construction processes, testing practices such as pile load testing, and engineering documentation
  • Strong organizational, documentation, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Ability to conduct field work, including walking construction sites, collecting data, observing installation methods, and participating in testing activities
  • Willingness to learn and support drone-based surveys, GPS-enabled equipment, and digital field data systems
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future
