About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create preliminary BESS layouts and single line diagrams using templates
  • Review bid drawings to internal standards and document differences
  • Review RFPs and evaluate them against standard designs
  • Document and communicate unique specifications to necessary parties
  • Work with Business Development and Estimating to ensure appropriate RFP responses
  • Perform basic electrical engineering calculations to support design
  • Create and modify electrical engineering drawings using AutoCAD
  • Research and stay current on applicable electrical codes and standards, including NEC and NFPA 855
  • Participate in design reviews and collaborate with engineering disciplines and project teams
  • Assist with technical reports, calculations, and specifications
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including design revision and iteration history

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • EIT (Engineer in Training) certification or on track to obtain it
  • Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
  • Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles, including wire sizing and current calculations
  • Basic knowledge of applicable building codes, engineering principles, and industry best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
  • Commitment to safety
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future
