About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership and oversight to an individual energy storage preconstruction project
  • Collaborate across engineering, scheduling, change management, budgeting, and closeout documentation
  • Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements
  • Prepare billings and expedite payments
  • Set up and maintain all aspects of the CMiC system
  • Prepare, solicit, and evaluate bid packages
  • Write project procedures
  • Review plans for completeness and accuracy
  • Supervise and train Preconstruction Project Engineers and clerical staff
  • Ensure procurement aligns with LNTP scope, budget, and schedules
  • Create contract scopes of work with business development, engineering, accounting, construction, and legal departments
  • Coordinate long-lead procurement items during the LNTP phase
  • Define and create LNTPs
  • Research project-specific design, owner/contract, and permit requirements
  • Track changes affecting schedule or budget and report them to the Project Executive
  • Represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings
  • Support estimating reconciliation for each design iteration
  • Maintain accurate cost forecasting and estimated cost-at-completion reporting
  • Manage project risks and prepare mitigation plans
  • Develop and maintain relationships with owners, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 3 years of Energy Storage Construction Experience
  • Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience
  • Thorough understanding of plans and specifications
  • Field experience (5-8 years, Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent)
  • Leadership ability to organize a cohesive, high-performing project team in a remote environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office suite and industry-standard tools such as Bluebeam Revu
  • Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting
  • Strong people skills
  • Detail-oriented, motivated self-starter
  • Able to travel, estimated 25%
  • 5+ years construction experience
  • 2+ years scheduling and estimating experience
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future
