About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the preconstruction team and coordinate and manage project deliverables to achieve project profitability and schedule goals
- Perform all essential Entry Level/Intern Project Engineer responsibilities
- Attend and document project meetings and write minutes
- Set up and maintain electronic filing systems
- Update and maintain drawings, specifications, and logs
- Assist with defining and creating LNTPs
- Ensure preconstruction activities align with LNTPs, scope, budget, and schedules
- Track changes impacting project schedule or budget and report them to the Project Executive
- Support Operations and Contracts Teams in tracking EPC exhibits
- Prepare and maintain CPM schedules
- Evaluate basic construction means and methods
- Maintain site-specific safety plans and pre-task planning processes
- Distribute project documents and maintain document logs
- Review, analyze, and transmit submittals
- Prepare and maintain RFI, submittal, and procurement logs
- Code Accounts Payable workflows and verify codes
- Verify estimate quantities for labor cost reports
- Maintain PCI log in CMiC
- Set up and maintain a Quality Management system
- Prepare billings and expedite payments
- Set up and maintain all aspects of the CMiC system
- Assist with bid packages, soliciting, and evaluating bids
- Assist in writing project procedures
- Complete other assigned responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1-3 years of construction-related experience, or equivalent
- Construction related internship experience preferred
- Field experience a plus
- Basic understanding of construction cost accounting
- Basic estimating and scheduling skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
- Effective organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal English language communication skills
- Ability to use independent judgment; self-starting
