About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join a cybersecurity team securing Solventum’s healthcare information systems and clients’ and patients’ personal health information
- Operate and enhance application security tool environments
- Author automation scripts for recurring tasks, with Python preferred
- Set up and execute authenticated and unauthenticated DAST scans against web applications and APIs
- Manage scan scheduling, configuration, and coverage
- Tune scanning profiles to reduce false positives and improve detection accuracy
- Align DAST scanning with release cycles and risk-based requirements
- Validate DAST findings for exploitability and business impact
- Categorize vulnerabilities using standards such as OWASP Top 10
- Prioritize findings based on risk, application criticality, and exposure
- Eliminate false positives and duplicate findings before developer handoff
- Explain DAST findings and remediation expectations to development and platform teams
- Track remediation progress and verify fixes through rescanning or targeted validation
- Maintain vulnerability records in enterprise tracking systems
- Escalate overdue or high-risk vulnerabilities according to policy
- Work with application teams to validate software applications against security guidelines and compliance standards such as HIPPA, SOC II, GDPR, and NIST 800-53
- Build solutions that collect and present vulnerability and compliance data to leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3–6 years of experience
- Experience administering Qualys VM or AppSec
- Experience working across multiple teams and disciplines
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Risk-based prioritization and sound judgment
- Knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud environments
- Familiarity with software security requirements in compliance programs such as NIST, HITRUST, and FedRAMP
- Experience developing or testing RESTful APIs
- Understanding of Postman and/or Swagger files
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently or collaborate with application teams
- Experience administering Qualys or WebInspect vulnerability management and application security modules is a nice-to-have
- Role is India only
- Travel may include up to 10%
- Relocation assistance is not authorized
