About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage collections for up to 300 customer accounts monthly, including outbound calls and documentation of interactions
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, short payments, and tax issues to ensure accurate account reconciliation
  • Review customer contracts and coordinate with billing teams to maintain up-to-date and accurate customer information
  • Evaluate creditworthiness and recommend credit limits and risk mitigation strategies
  • Participate in internal meetings and customer calls to resolve account issues and strengthen relationships
  • Comply with corporate policies, procedures, and security standards while performing assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND two years experience in customer service in a private, public, government or military environment OR High School Diploma/GED AND six years experience in customer service in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Experience in B2B collections
  • Knowledge of account reconciliations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, including pivot tables, reporting, templates and data merging
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with finance, sales, and customer service teams
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong customer service and relationship-management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders at multiple levels
  • Ability to conduct difficult conversations and negotiations while balancing customer relationships with company credit policies
  • Strong analytical, research, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work effectively in multiple computer systems simultaneously
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status
