About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define, document, and govern enterprise IT architecture
Lead architecture consulting efforts to align technology solutions with business strategies
Evaluate new and emerging technologies
Create architectural blueprints and current-state, target-state, and transition-state definitions
Ensure technology solutions are scalable, secure, supportable, and aligned with long-term enterprise architecture direction
Lead Architecture Review Board activities and govern technology adoption globally
Coordinate, create, publish, and measure adoption of architecture standards, policies, principles, reference architectures, and target-state definitions
Establish technology asset management governance, lifecycle standards, CMDB data quality, ownership models, and decision processes
Own and improve ServiceNow Application Portfolio Management processes, data standards, workflows, reporting, and tooling adoption
Define architecture patterns, principles, and roadmaps across applications, data, integrations, infrastructure, security systems, and shared platforms
Research, assess, and evangelize technologies while guiding modernization, standardization, consolidation, retirement, and investment decisions
Coordinate architects, platform teams, and cross-functional stakeholders in delivering architectural artifacts and technical solutions
Potentially expand into formal people leadership as the India architecture capability matures
Travel may include up to 15%

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or higher and ten (10) years of Enterprise Architect and/or Technical Architect experience, or High School Diploma/GED and fourteen (14) years of Enterprise Architect and/or Technical Architect experience
Enterprise Architecture experience across business, application, data, technology, and security architecture domains
Experience defining architecture direction and translating strategy into actionable roadmaps
Experience managing architecture review boards, conducting architecture reviews, administering technology governance and portfolio management practices, and driving technology innovation and emerging and AI technology adoption
Agile and/or waterfall project management experience
Experience with one or more of: ServiceNow CMDB and Application Portfolio Management, SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce.com, SAP BTP/Datasphere, MuleSoft, Snowflake, AWS and Azure Cloud, Zscaler, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Copilot
Ability to design and govern end-to-end target states, roadmaps, and capability models
Expertise with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman
Knowledge of modeling standards and modern architecture practices including cloud-native, event-driven, microservices, API-first, agentic operating models, and data-centric architectures
Experience managing technology lifecycles and architecture portfolios using ServiceNow CMDB, APM, and related governance and observability solutions
Ability to lead globally distributed stakeholders from India across time zones and influence teams without direct authority
Written and verbal communication skills
Problem-solving and analytical abilities
Leadership and mentoring skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect, CISSP/CCSP, or ITIL
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status
