About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage collections efforts for assigned portfolios of accounts
  • Conduct detailed research, queries, reconciliation, and analysis to resolve nonpayment or account disputes
  • Notify customers of delinquent payments and collect accounts receivable due in the assigned area
  • Develop and maintain payment schedules with customers according to terms
  • Take immediate action on accounts requiring priority handling due to age or delinquency amount
  • Use collection techniques to control receivables delinquency
  • Identify seriously delinquent accounts and recommend action to the Team Lead and SME
  • Interact with internal and external customers to resolve delinquent-account problems
  • Recommend accounts for outside collection agency assignment or legal action
  • Authorize credit releases and credit holds for select referral accounts
  • Manage customer credit limits
  • Recognize potential write-offs or bad debt and recommend action
  • Liaise between Credit, Billing, Accounts Receivable, corporate, and field organizations
  • Participate in reasonable work activities assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business or related field
  • 2 years of experience handling high balance and complex A/R accounts
  • Advanced English (oral and written) B2+
  • Flexible and adaptable with schedule, workflow processes, and priorities
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Ability to convey positive customer service and team-oriented attitude
  • At least 6 months of customer care experience
  • Medium/Advanced knowledge of accounting platforms is highly preferred
  • Empathy, politeness, active listening, and emotional intelligence
  • Independent, detail-oriented, self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiating skills
  • Ability to interact with diverse customers and remain calm in conflict situations and under pressure
  • Time management and strong multitasking skills
  • Adaptability, assertiveness, initiative, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement mindset
  • Decision-making and assertive listening
  • Critical thinking and basic accounting skills
  • PC skills
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities with tight deadlines
  • Customer service experience
  • Healthcare background is a plus
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status
