About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure architecture, with a focus on security, cost efficiency, and resilience
- Administer and evolve Kubernetes clusters, including deployments, autoscaling, networking, RBAC, and ingress
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Node.js and React/TypeScript applications
- Implement and operate messaging with Apache Kafka, including topics, partitions, consumer groups, and lag monitoring
- Containerize applications with Docker, following image best practices
- Implement end-to-end observability for metrics, logs, and tracing
- Design horizontal and vertical scaling strategies for applications and databases
- Administer and optimize databases, primarily PostgreSQL
- Support modern data architectures, including Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Mesh
- Define and document infrastructure-as-code standards
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality, security, and performance in production
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong experience with Azure, including solution architecture, networking, VMs, resource groups, and IAM
- Kubernetes (AKS or equivalent), including deployment, management, and troubleshooting
- Docker and containerization best practices
- Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates)
- Apache Kafka administration and application integration
- Grafana and observability stacks (Prometheus, Loki, OpenTelemetry, or similar)
- Definition of SLIs/SLOs and proactive alerting
- PostgreSQL (required), including administration, tuning, and high availability
- Knowledge of other DBMSs is a plus
- Familiarity with Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Data Mesh concepts
- Experience with data pipelines and orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, or similar) is preferred
- Knowledge of Node.js and React with TypeScript
- Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree
- Availability to work on-site in downtown São Paulo
