About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Plan, coordinate, and implement IT projects
Work closely with the Development, Quality Management, Cybersecurity, Service, and Support teams
Design, configure, install, and maintain hardware and software in the company’s geographically redundant data centers based on automation concepts, increasingly incorporating cloud solutions
Install, configure, and maintain servers in virtualized environments, as well as Linux-based services and applications
Perform updates, patches, and release upgrades
Implement hardening measures and countermeasures against common attack patterns
Ensure device compliance
Manage tickets and provide second-level support for laboratory inquiries

Requirements

What you’ll need

Successfully completed degree in IT or comparable vocational training with a focus on IT
Professional experience in IT customer support, administration, and monitoring
In-depth knowledge of Linux systems, Docker, Ansible, and GitLab
Knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Nutanix
Knowledge of defining and implementing security concepts
Desirable: Knowledge of firewalling, databases, CI/CD, ISMS, and BCMS
Independent, methodical, goal-oriented, and team-focused approach to work
Excellent written and spoken German
Good English skills
