About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and execute day-to-day transportation activities by establishing sound transportation strategies
- Understand the transportation industry and translate that knowledge into opportunities across the organization
- Execute transportation and carrier management strategies aligned with business needs
- Manage day-to-day transportation operations, including planning, tracking, execution, and lane performance root cause analysis
- Identify and implement cost savings initiatives focused on operational efficiencies
- Work with data analysts to build KPIs and dashboards and provide visibility into operational cost drivers
- Lead internal and cross-functional teams to improve operational performance
- Communicate with mid- to senior-level managers regarding operations
- Provide work direction and guide daily activities of assigned department personnel
- Serve as the Logistics team's subject matter expert to the business
- Develop and foster strategic relationships with suppliers and carriers
- Improve internal and OTM processes to create an efficient work environment and eliminate waste
Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or other related field preferred
- Masters level degree preferred
- Minimum 7 years relevant experience in an OTM environment
