About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Select patches for Exadata, GRID, Database, E-Business, Weblogic, JAVA, OPA, OHS, and APEX products
Analyze patches, including application order, prerequisites, post-requisites, and configuration steps
Liaise with payroll, functional, developer, testing, project management, and other DBA teams during patch processes
Download and apply patches to systems
Produce DBA instructions for experienced DBAs to follow
Investigate patch errors and discrepancies
Interrogate database and alert log files
Support Oracle E-Business Systems patching, with future scope to work on Oracle Fusion

Requirements

What you’ll need

Eligible for Developed Vetting (DV) clearance
Comfortable with My Oracle Support and able to work through its documentation
Understanding and exposure to Oracle GRID/Database RDBMS 19C
Understanding of CDB/PDB and Dual FS
Exposure to applying patches, especially via ADOP on E-Business systems
Exadata and RAC experience is desired but not essential
