About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Research, analysis, and preparation of information on current developments in politics, civil society, and search and rescue (SAR)
Support for political communications
Support in creating website content and internal information documents
Weekly press monitoring
Translation of articles and informational materials from other country offices into German
Conceptualization and creation of social media content
Support with administrative tasks
General support for special occasions such as events and campaigns, or during periods of increased workload

Requirements

What you’ll need

You are currently enrolled as a student
Ongoing studies in political science, social sciences, international relations, migration studies, communication and media studies, or a related field
Proof that the internship is a mandatory requirement of your degree program
Interest in humanitarian issues and migration policy
Excellent research and analytical skills
Experience in writing and content production
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Experience working with social media
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in German and English
Identification with the mission and values of SOS MEDITERRANEE in its European dimension
Advantageous: knowledge of search and rescue at sea, maritime and international law, migration-related issues, the Mediterranean context, and graphic design
