About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain pipelines and data models moving data from ConnectWise PSA, NetSuite, HubSpot, and other source systems into the data lake and SQL layer
Lead modernization of the Sourcepass BI platform, including architecture evaluation, migration planning, and retirement of legacy pipelines
Partner with the BI Manager and business leaders to translate reporting and analytics needs into data models, freshness targets, and quality checks
Monitor pipeline health and data quality, resolve data issues, and maintain the SQL layer as the authoritative source for front-end dashboards
Build and support back-end integrations, APIs, and data services for automation workflows and AI agents
Support data migration and system integration for acquired companies
Document data sources, models, and pipelines for team support and auditability
Work alongside the BI Manager, AI Engineer, and RPA Developers in the ROC

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience in data engineering, BI engineering, or back-end systems development
Strong SQL skills, including writing, optimizing, and validating queries against operational data
Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data models for a data warehouse or data lake
Experience integrating systems through REST APIs, including authentication, pagination, and error handling
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, PowerShell, or similar)
Ability to explain technical work clearly to both engineers and business stakeholders
Less than 10% travel
No on-call requirement
Preferred: experience in the MSP, IT services, or professional services industry
Preferred: familiarity with ConnectWise PSA, NetSuite, HubSpot, or similar business systems
Preferred: experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Power BI, or comparable platforms
Preferred: experience with Rewst or Power Automate
Preferred: exposure to AI and LLM-based solutions
Preferred: experience migrating data or consolidating systems after a merger or acquisition
Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, prioritization, adaptability, and attention to detail
