About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain the customer relationship with ECHO in accordance with the agreement
- Configure, implement, maintain, secure, and direct the ECHO Credentialing and Provider Data Management System across participating SIH hospitals and service organizations
- Serve as the main liaison between ECHO and system users
- Coordinate ECHO audits, maintenance procedures, installations, upgrades, enhancements, methodology, issue escalation, reporting, user training, and general assistance
- Plan, develop, and organize medical staff services in accordance with hospital goals, medical staff bylaws, TJC standards, and regulatory/accrediting requirements
- Schedule, coordinate, test, communicate, train, and implement ECHO releases and upgrades
- Maintain daily operations, user-defined field configuration, system security, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
- Escalate issues to ECHO customer support
- Identify system interdependencies with other tasks and applications
- Assist with ECHO software design, development, interfaces, and support
- Create metrics for system functionality, improvement opportunities, user needs, compliance, and usage processes
- Audit, assess, procure, implement, utilize, and maintain provider credentialing processes and information systems
- Maintain practitioner data repositories covering education, training, experience, and licensure
- Provide credentialing and privileging services
- Evaluate credentialing and privileging requests to determine eligibility
- Analyze data and make recommendations for credentialing and privileging proceedings
- Investigate and validate discrepancies and adverse information
- Monitor information collection and pursue additional information for peer review decision-making
- Report applicant credentials and adverse recommendations to the Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administrator, Business Administration, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related healthcare field
- CPCS Certification, or become certified within one year of eligibility
- CPMSM, or become certified within one year of eligibility
- 3-5 years of medical staff services, provider enrollment, or credentialing experience
- Experience working with medical staff offices, credentialing departments, provider enrollment departments, or managed care organizations
- Experience maintaining credentialing software and databases
- Experience with credentialing software platforms, database management, report writing and analytics, Microsoft Excel, data validation, and quality control
- Intermittent hand manipulation required
- Intermittent lifting and carrying of 20 lbs.
