About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist professional nursing care for SIH patients
- Assist nursing staff with patient care activities, including obtaining vital signs, intake and output, bathing, feeding, and toileting
- Assist in medical emergencies, including CPR
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records
- Communicate changes in patient condition to Registered Nurses and/or Licensed Practical Nurses
- Complete delegated tasks from Registered Nurses
- Advocate for patients by communicating and collaborating with other health service personnel
- Complete required education and competencies
- Cross-train as a telemetry technician if required by department needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of Illinois approved CNA training program and passed a written competency test, or successfully completed a nursing arts course (e.g., Basis in Nursing, Fundamentals in Nursing, Nursing 101, etc.)
- BLS certification
- Current SIH employees must apply through the internal job portal/Workday Jobs Hub
